Aquamation, or alkaline hydrolysis, is a gentle, respectful, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional fire cremation. This innovative water cremation process uses a combination of water, heat, and natural minerals to break down organic matter. It mimics the natural decomposition that occurs in soil over time. Unlike traditional fire cremation, water cremation: 

• does not use fossil fuels

• uses 90% less energy than fire cremation

Aquamation for pets is very gentle on the animal compared to fire cremation. Instead of being placed in a fire, your pet is lovingly placed in warm water, about the same amount of water used if you were to give your pet a bath. This is truly caring for our pets and our planet.
